About
TerraMap is maps and location infrastructure for modern web and mobile applications.
What we are building
TerraMap provides the location layer that applications are built on: vector and raster tiles, Day and Night map styles, map SDKs, place search, reverse geocoding, routing, navigation and route optimization — reached through one platform and one account.
Why it exists
Mapping is infrastructure, and infrastructure should not be one of the largest line items in a product's budget. Teams that need professional cartography and real location services are often choosing between a provider priced for enterprises and a stack they have to assemble and operate themselves. TerraMap exists to remove that choice.
Where we are today
TerraMap is in active development. Map rendering, tiles, the Web SDK, place search and reverse geocoding are built and running; routing, matrix and optimization endpoints currently return explicitly marked mock responses, and the native iOS and Android SDKs are in development.
Map coverage is European, and expanding country by country. It is the proof of concept for a European build. The pipeline that produces it is designed for the European Union, and coverage expands from there.
How it is built
TerraMap runs on OpenStreetMap data, rendered through its own cartography and tile pipeline. The Web SDK is derived from MapLibre GL and keeps its style specification and map API, so existing MapLibre code and styles carry over.
